The hills of Vermont are alive with the Sound of Music! This is the site where you can find the Trapp Family Lodge, founded by the von Trapps after they fled from Austria. Originally used as the family's home when they weren't touring America, it eventually grew into a family hotel business. The Trapp Family Lodge is charmingly constructed with Tyrolean architecture inside and out, and is an idyllic retreat nestled in the mountains of Stowe, Vermont. You can meet actual von Trapp family members and have a historic tour of the grounds where Georg and Maria von Trapp are buried. My family traveled to the Lodge several years ago for the most refreshing vacation we had ever experienced! We enjoyed exquisite scenery, delicious Austrian cuisine, a cozy family game room, and the nightly showing of an exclusive documentary filmed just months before Maria's passing. This year, take your family to the Trapp Family Lodge for a vacation you'll not soon forget!
