Pattern Giveaway for the “Baroness Schraeder Dress”
Posted by Edelweiss Patterns on June 7, 2011
I am pleased to announce the release of Edelweiss Patterns’ second “Sound of Music” dress ~ “Baroness Schraeder’s Evening Gown”! Just like the Liesl Dress, this elegant formal gown pattern has all sizes 6-20 in one envelope and comes printed on sturdy white paper. Rated for intermediate sewers, the fitted “Baroness Schraeder” dress has tucks in the bodice area, a back godet, organza bodice overlay, and an enormous “pouff” at the left shoulder. You can sew this with the spaghetti strap option for an authentic look, or with the cap sleeves for a beautiful modest prom dress. Click here to watch a video of the dress posted by “A Needle Pulling Thread.”
To celebrate the release of this Sound of Music dress design, we are hosting a giveaway of the pattern that will end on Saturday, June 11th. The winner will be selected through a random drawing, and the winner will be announced on the 12th (Sunday). (The contest is open internationally, so anyone can enter.)
To enter the competition, simply write a note about this pattern or giveaway on your Facebook page or blog, then post the link along with your name below. That’s it! (If you don’t have facebook or a blog, go ahead and enter your name in the comments anyhow. :- ) )
Auf weidersehen!

Greetings,
This dress is lovely…nice work! I used to have one like this for my barbie dolls back in the day. It always reminded me of her dress in Sound of Music!
I very much enjoyed reading your blog, the series on the Little House costumes was great! I always liked her dresses.
I posted about your give away on my Brielle’s Costumes facebook page.

Hello Ladies!
Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments! I would love to hear your comments on upcoming blog posts, which will include some of my vintage dress projects that I’m sewing right now, as well as a method to get perfectly pressed seams every time.
I appreciate each of your comments, and I look forward to more patterns to come!
Happy sewing,
Katrina
